SDGs Goals in Punjab

Integrated Planning and Implementation

SDGCC mandate is to support State in developing its 4 Year Strategic Action Plans (4SAPs) of all Govt. of Punjab Departments. The success of the 4SAPs depend on detailed study and research to address the specific gaps/bottlenecks and challenges specific to the situation. SDGCC supports each department to relook at its priorities in a fresh manner and looks to adopt the world class best practices to achieve states' committed targets for SDG 2030. The detailed department plans will help reflect on the synergies needed between the departments and help to look at Integrated strategies to achieve the targets.

Resource Mobilization and Partnerships

SDGCC mandate is to actively seek opportunities to raise funds from multilateral and bilateral agencies, vertical funds and market its innovative approach to SDG implementation of the state at the global level It also engages in mutually advantageous partnerships and MOUs with other international and state level SDG initiatives. SDGCC also engages with local NGOs, academic institutions, youth bodies and with private sector entities to take up the grassroot level interventions in Punjab.

SDG Localization


SDGCC mandate is to build capacity of Panchayats and elected representatives of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) on SDG localization by providing technical knowhow and handholding support to all district/Gram Panchayat (GP) functionaries. It also supports GP functionaries in formulation of Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) including building capacities of the districts in developing long term vision action plans, monitoring mechanisms and processes that support implementation, linked to State vision. SOGCC further supports last mile adaptation or localization of the 4SAPs at the District and GP level.

Monitoring and evaluation in Punjab

Monitoring and

SDGCC mandate is to effectively implement SDGs by developing goal wise State Indicator Framework (SIF) in line with the National Indicator Framework (NIF). This will then be used for developing framework for SDG monitoring and the data management system for collecting, validating and analyzing data on progress of SDGs (including an online dashboard). SDGCC will also generate quality reports using data analytics to monitor indicators associated with SDGs and inform timely interventions to help accelerate their progress

SDGCC CSR alignment

Awareness Generation & Capacity Building

SDGCC mandate is to make Govt. functionaries and the public, aware of their roles & responsibilities to achieve SDG Vision of the state. It aims to percolate down to each official decision maker, opinion leader, community leader, media person, academic leader, youth and to each citizen of the state, the SDG Vision set by their state. Most importantly enhance the knowledge and building capacity of various stakeholders to understand the SDG targets to make them the triggers of change.

SDGCC Academic Punjab


The platform for the youth to own the SDGs and take action on them. This platform will let the youth show us how they are taking big and small steps towards sustainable development.

SDGs E-learning


The pandemic has taught us new ways of learning. We have adapted to the era of digital learning from the comfort of our homes and ease of our schedules. E-module of SDGs lets you learn about SDGs and get certified as well without having to come for formal training classes and taking out special time for the commute and attending sessions.
